I am a qualified primary school teacher and have many years of experience teaching children. Classes for children are made to be fun and interactive which helps the learning process.
General
Spanish
General Spanish is based on a curriculum that starts from the basics, working it's way up to the advanced levels, learning all the fundamentals of the language. General Spanish is good for those just beginning or wanting to jump back into learning.
Conversational
Spanish
Conversational Spanish is aimed more at people wanting to be able to jump into conversations without worrying about all the specifics of the language and just wanting to focus on conversing.
Online and Face to Face
I teach in both online and face to face classes and am experienced in 1 to 1 and group classes with up to 14 students using Zoom,
My name is Alicia Saenz de Tejada and teaching Spanish is my passion. My aim is to help students learn Spanish in a fun and enjoyable way and help them on their journey to become fluent and confident Spanish speakers.
I was born and raised in Madrid, Spain where I lived my schooling years and completed a degree in Primary Education specialised in Foreign Language by the Autonomous University of Madrid. From August 2013 I have been residing in London, England where I gained a certificate in Teaching Practical Spanish to adults from the London Cervantes Institute and Roehampton University and I have taught Spanish as a second language in the USA, Norway and Spain.

I have had the benefit of in-person lessons with Alicia for 7-months until Cov-19 lockdown and then online on a frequent basis 3-5 times per week. My objective is to become fluent in Spanish to help with travelling and holidays in the Dominican Republic. Normally my patience is very short however Alicia has my absolute respect - she is arguably more organised than my wife and every lesson is well thought out, structured and she makes it great fun. I feel in control of the pace but she keeps pushing me and the results are incredibly pleasing. Alicia's lessons are very professional but also super fun and very enjoyable. I haven't been able to practice my Spanish for many years, I had a solid base but had issues expressing myself.
